Summer 2007 Newsletter

Hi Everybody

Summer is in full swing here in upstate New York in the USA and Veteran Auto Lamps has been busy developing relationships with new suppliers and starting to turn out product from our new location outside of Syracuse.  We have recently completed the first of the long-awaited Corcoran side lamps…and a beautiful sight they are! For those of you who have orders in for these, we will be getting them to you as soon as possible!

There’s nothing more gratifying than seeing the transformation come to fruition for our valued customers!

To the left are Corcoran 3-Tier Side Lamps before Restoration, belonging to Joe Goss of Lafayette, IN.  After receiving his restored lamps (photo to the right) Joe writes:  “I was very pleased to receive the cowl lamps that you repaired for me today.  They look great. I'm sure they were not this good when new. Thanks for your  efforts and I look forward to doing business again should the need arise.”

Another order sent out recently was 3 specialty radiator caps for Bugatti’s… these will be plated and have springs added.  We intend to try another process for these on the next run which should improve the shape authenticity and also minimize processing challenges.

“Received the caps today, thank you for mailing them to me so quick.   They look fine.”  John, Taupo, NZ

WANTED:  Orders for

8” Gray & Davis Bullet Style Headlamps

Veteran Auto Lamps has had some interest in early Gray & Davis bullet-style headlamps with an 8” lens and has excellent pattern lamps available…see the

Photos below.  If you or someone you know is looking for any of these, please contact Kathy with the note “G&D Bullet Lamps” in the subject field.  The following pictures are of both pre-1906 and post-1906 bullet lamps…we expect to be running both styles as only the hardware changed in the later version.

Note:  We also have patterns available for the bullet style side and tail lights as well as a spotlight….should you know of someone who has a need for these.
